Shaiman (composer-lyricist) and Hairspray collaborator Scott Wittman (lyricist) were also nominated for their song “Let Me Be Your Star” from the Smash pilot. (Shaiman was also Emmy-nominated for co-writing the 2012 Academy Awards show.)
