In the 2-hour Pilot episode, Michael Kuzak has to defend a wealthy and spoiled young man — accused with two friends — of raping a woman dying from leukemia: Adrianne Moore (Alfre Woodard). He ends up befriending her whilst they are both in contempt of court. In the final moments of the episode, Michael is working alone in the office afterhours, when he hears a knock at the front door. Adrianne shows up, “You said, if I needed a friend…”
(one of my favorite moments from the series)
Still re-watching season 1 of L.A. Law. It’s great because i get to see episodes i’ve never seen before, and get to see the great episodes i havent seen in ages. Plus, they’re the full original uncut episodes — so far as i can tell, anyway.
You know you’ve got a great show, when within the first few minutes — and before the opening credits — they reveal that one of the law firm’s senior partners has died. After this, you dont know what to expect, and get a good feel for the off-beat and often dark humor the series has.
you know you’re a real nerd when you get excited that your season 1 set of the ’80s/’90s legal drama, L.A. Law, comes in the mail [yesterday], and right away, you watch the first disc — which adds up to 4 hours-worth of episodes (the Pilot is 2 hours alone). i’ve missed this show! used to watch re-runs all the time!
this is one of my favourite tv shows of all time! i used to wanna become a lawyer, because of this show. and it’s about damn time it got released on dvd!
