Heres Version 2
Refer to This Post for info/details. There will be more to come (both for CT and MST3k!)
Here it is! My first-ever home-made DVD cover — which just happens to be for the riffing project: Cinematic Titanic. Yesterday, i had watched them riff Doomsday Machine, so i decided on a cover for that, first. I know that it’s far from perfect, but i hope it’ll look good if anybody prints it out — let me know! (i dont own a printer, lol)
I used a random DVD cover template/psd that i found online — all of this was done in Photoshop CS5, btw. I cropped a scan of a vhs cover for Escape From Planet Earth (alternate title of the film), and added my own title in a sci-fi-ish font. then, i tilted it. I added the CT logo, along with the ‘Shadowramma’; put a tiny version of the logo on the spine (the way the official covers do); added the “episode” number to the spine, along with the film title. Next, i used the description from the actual dvd release, added the Titans with the Time Tube, added a DVD VIDEO logo, as well as the legal tripe. Then, i threw on the mini CT logo, and was all set. However, there were some mistakes made: i forgot screencaps originally, and had a larger CT logo up top. So, i went back and changed it — i know, the caps are not all the same size, nor evenly placed. Oh, well! I ended up with 2 versions, since i couldnt decide if i wanted the screencaps to be with or without the silhouettes. I also wish i would have put a border around the spine and the upper blue section that contains Cinematic TITANIC, but c’est la vie. I also added the mini German poster behind the riffers, because it was a cool poster. (Version 2 will be uploaded immediately following this one)
If anybody likes this, please feel free to use it. I didnt watermark it, and i dont demand credit — even if it was hard work. I only ask that you please do not take credit for its creation. Think about it, won’t you? Thank you.
One riffing project down for today — Cinematic Titanic: Doomsday Machine — and, now onto a classic MST3k episode.
Bicycle Song || Servo, Crow, Joel
Servo makes up words to go along with the background music at the beginning of Gamera Vs. Guiron (Exp. 312). Crow and Joel join in. This is cut together, so that you dont have the needless dialogue
i decided that i cannot miss what may very well be Cinematic Titanic’s final tour. so tonight, Im goin to the second film: The Doll Squad
[poster edited by me]
Time for a slightly different direction tonight — Cinematic Titanic - East Meets Watts (their first live dvd).
Currently Watching: Cinematic Titanic — #7: Blood Of The Vampires (originally titled Whisper to the Wind)
The 8 films i was lucky enough to see the Cinematic Titans riff live. (posters not in order) Each time i went, it was a double-feature. There was 3 times at The Royal Oak Music Theatre, and once at Ann Arbor Summerfest (the Michigan Theatre, i believe). The Oozing Skull (aka Brain Of Blood), The Doomsday Machine, East Meets Watts (aka The Dynamite Brothers), The Alien Factor, War of the Insects (aka Genocide), Samson and the 7 Miracles of the World, Rattlers, and The Astral Factor.
